So before I mentioned Tuesday was one of the longest workdays yet at Richland, and that could be an overstatement. While it was my longest, that wsn’t the hard part. It was easily my most stressful I think, and I’ve never had to do so much work just in my assigned and chosen fields. I had to play the role of the night anchor, and I’ve gained newfound respect for professional anchors worldwide. The idea of reading so much, so fast, and making no mistakes had never sunk in until I was under a true time crunch, and I saw that you truly can’t make mistakes. Ever.
I’ve got to thank the amazing advisers once again, and thank my amazing friends and co workers who fulfilled their roles splendidly as camera operators, editors, and all the people out in the field. Big thanks to the field reporters, who certainly had their own challenges. We were able to successfully complete four newscasts last night in the ultra small time crunch, which was a new record for KDUX. I’d love to see us complete newscasts like this again more often, and I guess we’ll see what we’re capable of soon.
