JAWS. My Thoughts.

I just watched JAWS the whole way through on Labor Day, with my cousin.

Before I even watched the movie I though it would be cool if they brought back JAWS. But not a sequel, since they make JAWS: Revenge the franchise is now DEAD! Since they have rebooted horror movies like Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Halloween why not actuly reboot/remake a GOOD REAL HORROR/THRILLER CLASSIC!

Bring in some elements from both the book, the original movie, and concepts by Spielberg.

The Shark:
Keep CGI at a minimum….robotics seen more real (EX: Cartoon Looking Shark in Deep Blue Sea)
Now I’m not saying no CGI at all…some things you’ll need it.

The People:
More background infro. Maybe a flash back on why Brody hates water, or Quint on the USS INDI?
Explain them more as people like in the book.

The Trailer/Selling the film:
first, keep the idea of the movie a secret. Maybe send out some rumors a few months before filming about a possible reboot. Then when you have a script ready cast the movie. Then when all that is done, and still a secret, film a small trailer for the film. Then release the trailer in Spring ready for the Summer movie season.

Have the trailer look nothing like a JAWS film. a couple on boat having a good time. The boat gets fliped over. Their in the water, DRAMATIC MUSIC IS PLAYING (NOT the JAWS theme). They both then get attacked by somthing in the water and die (You never see whats in the water) then its fades t back with white letters zooming and fading in that say, “You’re going to need a bigger boat.” the tune to “farewell and adieu to you fair spanish ladies.” playes in the background.

Nothing is said of JAWS or Coming Soon, It leaves the audience wondering what just happen!

Then you bring JAWS BACK for a Summer Release!

And that is how I BELIEVE they should bring BACK JAWS!

THE END?
